DKCXX.3 Indramat Drives
What It Means & How to Identify Your Exact Model
The DKCXX.3 designation refers to a family of Bosch Rexroth Indramat ECODRIVE03 servo drives—not a single exact part number. When you see something like DKCXX.3-040-7-FW, the “XX” is a placeholder that means the communication interface has not been specified. These drives are part of the ECODRIVE03 generation (“.3”), a line of digital servo drive controllers used in industrial motion control systems, commonly paired with Indramat servo motors in CNC machines, automation lines, and robotics.
Even though “DKCXX.3” is not a complete model, the rest of the part number still provides important information.
The “040” indicates a 40-amp current class,
“7” refers to the 380–480V input range,
and “FW” means the drive uses a firmware module to define its functionality.
To correctly identify, replace, or repair the unit, the exact interface version (such as DKC01, DKC02, DKC03, etc.) must be confirmed.
How to Identify Your DKC Drive
To quote or replace your drive correctly, we need the full part number from the nameplate. This is typically located on the front or side of the unit.

Look for a complete model such as:
- DKC01.3-040-7-FW
- DKC02.3-016-7-FW
- DKC03.3-040-7-FW
Important:
“DKCXX.3” alone is not enough to identify the drive. The interface version (01, 02, 03, etc.) determines how the unit communicates with your control system and must match for replacement.
If the label is worn, missing, or unclear, send us a photo—we can help identify it.

ECODRIVE03 Firmware & Configuration
All DKCXX.3 drives are part of the ECODRIVE03 platform and rely on a firmware module to define their operation. This firmware controls drive behavior, communication, and available functions such as positioning or motion control modes.
If your drive requires firmware replacement, updates, or verification, we support ECODRIVE firmware modules and compatibility.
